DemoChristopher T. Mignanelli, writer, director, and lead producer of The Trip There, was born in New York in the late '70s.

Chris (AKA 'Migs'), began honing his narrative chops at a young age, in response to continuing questions about his current status in the Soviet Air Force.

In following his progression as a storyteller, in recognizing bittersweet humor, and in embracing transcendental disappointment and redemption as necessary, one sees and hears and feels a visceral connection to the questions that plague and bless the young and the blessed.

While simultaneously writing books and making movies, Migs has worked as a women's football coach, community organizer, elementary teacher, high school teacher, University of Montana Athletics ticket salesman, touring musician, band roadie, freelance cook, and semi-pro psychoanalyst (for all his friends that need the help.)

Migs first effort at long-form narrative was of the novel Me And My Drum, which was followed by a number of short stories. His unpublished novel What Was Lost remains among his best work, but he has shifted his attentions to motion pictures. He has directed six short films.

His production company, DatMiznags Productions, is dedicated to the creation of art that recognizes the essential existence and influence of the Spirt in the workings of our everyday lives.

The Trip There is DatMiznags Productions first feature-length film, and we hope you feel compelled to tell your friends about it. Mignanelli has directed the following short films:

Chinatown Lullaby (2002)
Nelson Cuellar Meets Evan Dando (2003)
Tell That Dude (2005)
Diaper Go On (2006)
Idiot Me (2007)
